Author: Jen Turano. Narrator: Justine Eyre. Publisher: Tantor Audio. Genre: Historical Fiction, Christian Fiction, Humor. Source: Library. My review: While A Most Peculiar Circumstance can be read as a stand-alone novel, I highly recommend reading Turano's first book in the series, A Change of Fortune. Amy Matayo has a way with words that make her work so readable. The banter (or 'word volleying' was mentioned in this story) she establishes between a man and woman is clever, realistic, often funny and endearing. In Christmas at Gate 18 we see Matayo at the top of her word volleying game. Rory Gray is a supermodel.
